One of the many backpacks made by Zadkine Fashion Tailor students for schoolchildren in Cape Verde in partnershp with the CSD Foundation.
In preparation for an Open Day on March 13th at Zadkine students all across Fashion Tailor were tasked with making backpacks from fabric scraps. This was a request from a teacher Noy Singer, a founder of the CSD Foundation in Cape Verde. The goal of this foundation is to bring travelers and local population together through co-creative projects in education, sustainable tourism and social entrepreneurship. The whole process of making this backpack was a bit confusing, but I tried my best to stitch it as precisely and qualitatively as I could. Hopefully, this backpack will serve its potential owner longer than I expect.
